The Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center (BBRC) received in 2020 the HR Excellence in Research award - HRS4R, awarded by the European Commission. In order to integrate the 40 principles contained in the European Charter of the Researcher and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of research staff, the BBRC developed the 2020-2024 Action Plan to show its commitment to the HRS4R strategy.

At BBRC we develop a work model that promotes care for people. The respect for equality in rights, opportunities and obligations between women and men is also one of our pillars. In this sense, we have acquired a commitment to the principle of Equal Treatment and Opportunities, and in 2023 we have started the process of implementing an Equality Plan, following the Law for the Effective Equality between women and men.
