Return

I am a neuroscientist expert in fluid and imaging biomarkers in Alzheimer's disease. My research activity has mostly focused on the validation of our biomarkers as well as the derivation of methods to improve the diagnosis and prognosis of Alzheimer's disease, especially in the early stages. Currently, my interest is focused on the characterization of the preclinical phase of Alzheimer's disease using imaging biomarkers

I did my PhD thesis at the BBRC and then I was part of the BioFINDER group at Lund University (Sweden). During these years, I have published several scientific articles that have had a great impact at a clinical and social level. During my career, I have received several research grants, among them, the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie for postdocs, the Alzheimer's Association postdoctoral fellowship and another from the BrightFocus Foundation. Apart from Sweden, I have also done two research stays at Amsterdam UMC (Netherlands) during my pre-doctoral stage. I have been involved in two large studies at European level (AMYPAD and EPAD) and currently I am also involved with another large study (AD-RIDDLE).
