The Alfa Study is already reaping the first fruits for an Alzheimer's-free future

The Pasqual Maragall Foundation and the Barcelonaβeta Brain Research Center have published an animated video about the Alfa Study. Nearly 9 years after its launch, thanks to the impetus of the “la Caixa” Foundation, the project continues and is reaping the first fruits in the form of scientific results in the field of the prevention of Alzheimer's disease.
The Alfa Study would not be possible without the generosity of more than 2,500 participants, who during these years have performed cognitive, clinical or neuroimaging tests, depending on the subproject in which they participate. Their altruism, combined with the solidarity of the Foundation's members, donors, and the companies and organizations that support them, makes a future without Alzheimer's every day closer.
